its not a 2.0 Turbo btw mate there isn't one, all the petrol cupra R's are 1.8 litre 20-Valve 4cyl Turbos ranging from 180Bhp->210Bhp->225Bhp

Would it...not according to Peugeot's own stats, and if yours is modded then it's not even worth comparing - a few hundred quid on an ECU flash for the SEAT and it would make you look silly. I sold this car 5 years ago now, I used to love my 205GTi but can at least admit that whilst it was a 100% pure driving experience it would get wasted by the best today...I'd also suggest that if you tried to take a Cupra on "all day long" it would be your Pug that dies first, and terminally!

I OWN A SAAB 9-3 Aero!! I KNOW it can beat a porshe 911. IM TALING ABOUT A 1.8t COMPARED to the SEAT 1.8t. THE SEAT is alot faster than the saab!! I LOVE BOTH CARS ALOT

are you high fool, do some bloody research before posting, you're completely ignorant about saabs. a saab 9000 aero had quicker in gear acceleration (i think from 80km/h to 120km/h from memory) than many of the supercars of it's time. that information is only a google search away. a 9-3 aero could woop 911 turbo of its day in gear too! research dummy!!

U where revving the engine a bit to much.
gk129 (November 21, 2008 at 10:45 am)
thats not slow. thats fast for a 1.8t compared to saab which does it in over 20secs. Saab is prestigeous and not much is acheived from the turbo whereas seat is new on turbos and saab has been working on them for over 90 years!!

i dont think so mate, the mg zs 180 takes 7.3 seconds to hit 60 so i wouldnt have thought urs would do it in 6.5. its also a 1.8 turbo.
arrancooper69 (October 26, 2008 at 6:18 pm)
my mgzs 1.8 140hp can hit 60 in 6.5 and 100 in 18 seconds im very suprized that a 2.0 litre turbo is so slow, :) nice lookin car tho,

The permament light was the low washer fluid warning as the tank was tiny and always running out, the flashing light was the traction control when the turbo got up to speed and the wheels started to spin! I should have switched traction control off, but this was 5 years ago and I never thought it would be posted on YouTube!!! |
